British Player Claims £26m EuroMillions Top Prize
One UK ticket-holder has claimed the £26 million Euro Millions jackpot, game organizers have verified.
The winning numbers picked on the Friday draw were 06, 12, 18, 25 and 41, with the Star numbers 02 and 06.
This marks the 3rd European lottery grand prize claimed in the United Kingdom in 2024 out of ten drawn up to now.
Earlier this year, an individual won £83m, subsequently a £65 million Valentine's Day jackpot. The two successful players decided to be unidentified.
Nevertheless, the winner of Saturday's ten point six million pound National Lottery jackpot has yet to come forward.
A top consultant encouraged participants to take a few minutes to check their tickets and electronic messages.
The successful Lotto digits for the Saturday draw were: 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59 and the additional digit was 42.
"We are available to offer support and provide professional advisors who can assist victors maximize the prize for them and those close to them," the official said.
The EuroMillions jackpot will be validated against the lottery regulations, and after confirmation, the jackpot recipient will choose whether to go public.
Although making them a multi-millionaire, the Friday jackpot of twenty-six million pounds does not put the winner among the biggest EuroMillions successful players.
A prize of over 183 million pounds would have been necessary to get a spot in the top 10 list of largest wins.
The largest win claimed by a UK ticket-holder is 195 million pounds in two years ago, according to the lottery.
Although it is hard to hit the prize, it is easier than many think to fail to claim it.
An individual failed to claim a £1 million prize in the previous year after failing to claim a lottery success within the 180 day time limit, meaning the money was instead donated to National Lottery-funded projects.
The biggest EuroMillions jackpot to go unclaimed in the Britain was £63.8 million in the summer of 2012.
The EuroMillions draw is conducted every twice weekly across nine nations in Europe.
