Investigators examining a incident of suspected arson at a place of worship in the region have issued photographs of a pair of persons they need to identify.

Emergency responders were summoned to the religious building on Phyllis Avenue in Peacehaven at around 21:50 in the evening on Saturday.

Even though no-one was hurt in the event, the front entrance of the facility and a vehicle stationed in the vicinity were impacted as stated by investigators, who are investigating it as a bias incident.

A local official, head of the local authority, added Islamic community members in the town had the "unwavering support and support" of the government.

"Be in no doubt, we stand shoulder to shoulder with you," she expressed.
