Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Beach
An aircraft hovering above a crowded California shoreline unexpectedly started spinning out of control, eventually dropping height and plunging into a row of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Recordings uploaded on the internet depict the helicopter starting to spin above Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
